Oh yeah. I got Koozies made. I'll have them up in the store as soon as I figure out the shipping situation. I should have gotten foldable ones. Duh!

Interbike Zine & AMIGOS

I'll be handing out these little guys (comes with a sticker) while I'm in Vegas. I'm not sure how I feel about going to this thing but it's too late now. Leaving in the AM! Let's Party?

In a semi removed world from Las Vegas, Eric Hennessy took some time while he was on his long trip to wallride under some palm trees down the street from my apartment. TRAILS RULE.

Also, I forgot. AMIGOS 002 is done and ready for orders. It's by Dylan Goettlich and available here!

Sahara Hot Nights
If you're going to Vegas, I'll have a mini issue 5.5 on me available for free. I'll also have Issue 5, a bunch of stickers and even some t-shirts. Sorry, the Koozies won't be ready until afterward. Regardless, feel free to come up to my mobile booth #0001 that will operate out of a backpack and be fueled by fast food, coffee, and beer. Who knows, maybe some 99cent margaritas as well.

Looking Better
I re uploaded this video from last November. The song is "I Wanna Know What Love Is" by Julie Ruin.

R.I.P. Squanto

I lost one of my best friends last night. After dealing with a urine blockage and making what seemed to be a full recovery, Squanto became blocked again. It was something that would have plagued his beautiful life and together, Kerry and I made the decision no one wants to make. Squanto passed with dignity and in a deep sleep lastnight, just like what he normally would have been doing at that time. R.I.P. dude, you saw more shit and had more fun than most humans do. Be free.

Access to Tools
The Whole Earth Catalog is an awesome piece of publishing. Compiling information and places where reader's can call or contact may seem outdated now with the advent of the internet but in 1968 it must have been a godsend. Imagine needing to know how to build an alternative living space or advice on nomadic living in the late 60's before "Green Living" was chic? I can't imagine it was easy. I highly recommend checking some incarnation of the catalog out. Most libraries have The Whole Earth Catalog in their collections but if you're on the web and want to browse around, much of their editions are available online. I suggest hitting your public library though, for full effect.

Color Photographs

Before I got a much nicer digi cam, I kept a point and shoot camera with me while shooting stuff for Holeshot. To keep costs down I just put some normal film in that I could get processed at Walgreens and kept it with me at most times. And not to be a complete young urban photographer, but I'll probably still keep it with me because I like the look of it. Unfortunately, with the zine being Xeroxed, if I use the photos they obviously don't have the same quality. So below are 11 more photos from the past couple years while shooting for Holeshot.

Woodsman & Old ( But Properly Uploaded) Video

Bruce Danek, who you may remember from Issue 3, sent over this flick from his new place of existence in Western Massachusetts. Bruce shreds hard, is one of the nicest dudes ever, and is going to school for forestry services. All of those things are okay in my book. In case you missed this video from before, Bruce has an awesome clip at the :30 second mark.

Volkswagon & Holeshot

Javier Garcia sent over some photos of his decked out VW Bus complete with a Holeshot sticker on the back. What a dialed rig. For another dialed rig check out this one.

Issue One Thru Three in Photos

If you check the sidebar over there---> I added a new link for Internet Features. The first one is a little gallery of some of my favorite photos from Issues One thru Three. Some are B&W, some are color, there's even a Polaroid and a digital video still in there. You can check it out by clicking here or by using that sidebar link.

New Holeshot Video
2 minutes of live Holeshot action filmed in Los Angeles and New Bedford Massachusetts. Coleman Lopes has most of the clips in the beginning and Luis Pinzon has most of the clips in the Three Six part. There are also cameos from Dan Burton, Al Ocampo, and myself. Remember, FYA and thanks to Erik Irwin for filming Coleman's stuff.

Long Beach is a trip and this jam was no exception. Between the DJ playing Sublime (obviously) and Marilyn Manson to every kid doing double tailwhips, it was a sight to say the least. I think I spent more time watching flatland and admiring how it's a nice tight knit community with no worries of image and ability. With that said I hope double tailwhips soon become the double kickflip. Just because you can do it doesn't mean you have to. Know what I mean?

Help Squanto

My cat, Squanto, has a urine blockage. If you can find it in your wallet and heart to donate a bit to Squanto's health, we would all be very grateful. You can donate by visiting here.

"Art Rock"
Bears and No Age is a pretty sweet combination. I probably should have gone. Also one more possible working Holeshot internet video song below.
*Just kidding, obviously. But as cheesy as that song is, it's pretty awesome. Right?
Question: If there was more content online (videos, articles, more bloggers, etc.) in the Holeshot vein, would you be into it?
