Animal Bikes

I touched upon this in the little Q&A that Briz did with me, but I figured I would elaborate a bit here. Animal is one of the biggest parts company in BMX. There's no doubt about it. They make sick stuff and have a dialed team to back everything up. Kids love it and that's awesome. What's also awesome is that they run ads in Holeshot when they clearly don't have to. The print run is low, the quality (not this issue though) isn't that great, and they still do it. I'm not really sure why they do it either (I'm thinking they like making not so sleek looking ads on their printer with stickers and Sharpies over them) but I do appreciate it a ton. So to everyone at Animal, thanks for the extra cash to help this issue get printed. The above photo is their ad in issue 6 which is still available here. Issue 6 and New Tee Shirt Available Now

Issue 6 is available now in the store for the low price of $4.00. It's 56 pages with a color cover (shot by Kyle Emery-Peck), digital offset black and white interior, and stapled. It ships for 1 dollar in the US and 2 dollars International. Here's the breakdown of what's inside:

Rob Dolecki asked Lino Gonzalez about his DIY venture, 90East, and it's pretty inspiring. In these days where the $$$ of the real world seems to be infiltrating BMX, it's easy to forget that labors of love are still cool.
In other news Issue 6 is getting printed and if I do say so myself, looks pretty sweet. It will be available for sale next week and if you still have that subscription you bought way back when last October, it'll go out late next week as well. Should I continue to offer subscriptions?

Issue 6 Release Party

It's Saturday, December 19th at Circuit BMX in Pawtucket Rhode Island. I would be so hyped if everyone would come to this. I don't care what New England shop you claim allegiance to, just come, have fun and party! Choquette and Sloppy Sam's band is playing too so the musical side will be taken care of for sure! Also refreshments do mean adult bevs, just saying. Please feel free to spread the word.
