Found some smalls of these tees in the bottom of the box. I know I got some buds out there who like to keep it tight. And remember, all shirts come with a free copy of issue 7. Hell yeah! If you don't like that go buy a goddamn Famous tee shirt or something...

Videos
This is pretty cool if you've got 13 minutes. And while I do think it's a little weird that there was a skatevideo discussion at MOMA, it's pretty sweet. The more low brow and down to earth we can make art museums, the better it is. On the same note the more sophisticated and cool skateboarding gets, the worse it is. I guess like anything, it's about finding a happy medium. Regardless, Tobin Yelland's thoughts on Anti-Hero videos are great. I think all skate and BMX videos should be like that. Kind of like the 90East flick is. Just documenting what was going on at a certain time. And while it is by no means a fully encompassing local video, it definitely has a great vibe with tons of local dudes in it. Grab it, watch it, and be mesmerzied by the Abdul follow line at night. It's so fast and filmed in front of him!

Two Things Elsewhere

Jay Souza's basement is amazing. I have a bunch more photos that look great in color, I'll put em up on Get Some today probably. Check the article here.

My good friend Mike Ellis let me interview him about building ramps over on The Least Most here.
And as for Holeshot news, I'll be picking up issue 7 this week which means today I will be filling out all subscription envelopes and partying at the Post Office all week. Hell yeah! Might as well subscribe and buy a new tee shirt while you're at it. Or wait for issue 7 to come out, I'll throw one in for free with any t-shirt order.

New Tees Available Now

These are available here. And, like always, if you don't have PayPal get at me, we can work something out.
Hold On Tighter was a website/ online zine that Andrew Burton, Brian McDonough, Chris Dempsey, fuck it, a whole bunch of cool people messed with. This was pre people really caring about the web. Apparently Lino was psyched on it as well. I think you can peep what's left on the Wayback Machine, minus the photos, here. I hope, once I get my library science degree someday, that I can work for the wayback machine. How sick would that be!!!

I Did It My Way.
When I watch this ( I try to watch it weekly, at least to listen to the audio for inspiration) all I can think about is this jam. It reminds me to keep doing what I want and to do it exactly how I think it should be done. There are so many amazing quotes in there that the only way to do it justice is to watch it!

News.
So first and foremost, issue #7 is at the printer now and the proof is looking great. It should be available within the next two weeks. Of course, subscribers packages go out first. There are also new tee-shirts that will be available in the online store tomorrow. Don't forget about the 90East Premiere and try and soak up the sun while you can, it's beautiful out there. More info when I'm not working mobile on a computer that is powered by a hamster on a wheel.

Skunk

While looking up images for my weekly Least Most post, (peep it here) I found some great photos of Ratboy and they came from the blog devoted to Skunk Bros. It seems to be updated here and there but it's best to just click around and check out some of the older photos like the one above. That's a masterpiece in my book, up there with anything from the "best" photographers in BMX.
The first real BMX zine I ever thumbed through was a Skunk Zine. It blew my mind. Here's what I had to say about it in issue 2 of Holeshot:
This zine absolutely blew my mind when I got it. It was done by an Arizona to Austin, TX transplant who was totally part of the Sombra Crew (Ells Bells, Gonz, Ratboy etc.) and the content ranged from a raw photo of a guy doing a kickout to stories of living in Tempe Arizona and drinking Mickey's 40 oz. to Beer Reviews, to Food Reviews. Basically all pretty enlightening stuff for a 14 year-old from the suburbs.
The way I got it was pretty rad too. I saw a letter that he had written to Dig (Issue 7 i think) kind of advertising the zine. I wrote the dude a letter telling him I was psyched on it and would send him a copy of the "zine" I was working on when I was done. He sent me a zine and I never finished my "zine" and still feel bad to the day about rooking the dude out of a couple bucks.
Go check out Skunk Bros here.

Mass Pike Video

I'm gonna try and get out there for this. Anyone wanna get a crew to head up?
I doubt this song will be in this video, probably more shit a la this but TGUK making a reappearance in videos might be a good thing. Could be terrible too, like when HWM's Turnstile was in literally every video.

Peep This

I love that still. There's always weird shit like that along boardwalks. The whole thing is pretty sick too.

Guarenteed Good Time.
1. Have something you have to do.
2. That something you have to do gets canceled.
3. Get your bike and ride fast around your neighborhood.
4. Come back and drink OJ on your porch.
